Community

We Love Growing To Build Community!

For over 12 years now, LA Urban Farms is very proud to work with and donate produce every month to many wonderful organizations that are helping people who are experiencing homelessness including The LA Mission, The People Concern, The Downtown Women’s Center, Alexandria House, Fisher House, The Salvation Army, Westside Food Bank, Hollywood Food Bank, Hollywood Food Coalition and The Veterans Health Administration to provide healthy food to those who need it the most.

We Absolutely Love:

  • Donating our locally grown produce to those in need
  • The wonderful organizations we have the honor to work with in our community.  It has been one of the most rewarding parts of our urban farming journey
  • Engaging our community and helping to provide access to healthy local food
  • Inspiring people to think about all of the unused spaces around them and how they can be used to grow healthy abundant food where food is not typically grown
  • That community involvement can create local economic opportunities, such as farmers’ markets or educational programs
  • Access to fresh, locally grown produce positively impacts community health and creates places of growing, learning and wellness
  • Hosting members of our local community and people from all over the world to share ideas, experiences and inspire others to grow their own food
